LED
outdoor lighted signs are a
common site in many business districts. The technology has

LED is an abbreviation for Light Emitting Diode. This is a

Grayscale LED Signs are not black and white as the name
might suggest. The grayscale LED message center displays its
images with 256 shades and intensities of amber or red. With
a grayscale LED sign, animated images can be displayed on
the screen as well as customized text. Offering a
significantly lower cost and greater reliability than color
LED systems, the grayscale LED message center is a popular
choice.
Full color LED displays are the latest technology, and are
impressive. The technology is complicated but owning a
full color sign puts little stress on the business as LED
signs are considered low maintenance signs. The more cost
effective versions display 64,000 colors within the RGB
spectrum (colors made by combining red, green and blue.)
This type of full color LED sign is good for moving
animations, creative text, and other similar business
advertisement.
Another option in color LED displays is the high-density,
high-power 16. 7 million color RGB display. This allows
full-color video presentation to be displayed, often on a
building or billboard. These video billboards are
recently gaining popularity now that they are more
affordable and have tracked sales results. Highly impressive
and extremely eye-catching, this state of the art technology
is the best business advertising. Some interesting uses have
included live event coverage, images of actual products on
sale, animated graphic advertisements, and more. Video
billboards are amongst the most expensive, but are also the
most effective way to increase consumer sales. This
new LED sign technology is the latest improvement on static
billboard advertising.
The future of signs and advertising is in moving animated
